Betty Wallace Copeland, of Anahuac, Texas, went to be with her Lord, Friday May 26th at Bayside Community Hospital. She was born on October 26th 1944, in Anahuac Texas. She married Charles Hart Copeland Sr. of Devers TX on August of 1963 and they made their home in Anahuac, raising two hard-headed boys (and any other niece, nephew or Child who was in her presence, she loved them all and treated each child as her own). She loved animals including her pet goat, Billy, as a child, and her spotted giraffe she called a horse, Tonka. She loved spending time outdoors and took many family camping trips. She loved the Rocky Mountains and took as many trips as she could to Colorado. She also enjoyed painting and making crafts. She was a cub scout leader, girl scout leader, softball coach, Sunday school teacher and mentor/cheerleader for any kid that needed it. Most of all she loved her Lord and she loved her family. Her family consisted of her relatives by blood, her church family and those kids that just came into her family knowing her as “Aunt Betty” and later as “Granny”. She was a member of Hankamer Community Fellowship Church, and loved working with her friends at the Mid-Chambers Christian Caring Center.

She was proceeded in death by her mother Lois Chambliss Wallace, father Lacy Daniel Wallace Sr., Brother Lacy Daniel “Danny” Wallace Jr, sister Margrett Wallace Dundon, and sister Ruthie Wallace Bagwell. She is survived by her husband of 53yrs, Charles Hart Copeland Sr., twin sons Charles Hart Copeland Jr. and James Marshall Copeland and wife Wendy, sister Ollie Jean Wallace Sweet, grandson Charles Hart Copeland III, granddaughters, Christa, Cierra, Hillary & Alyssa Copeland and great granddaughter Khloey Pena A memorial service will be held at Hankamer Community Fellowship in Hankamer TX, at 2pm on Saturday June 3rd,  Memorial donations may be made in Betty’s name to Mid Chamber Christian Caring Center ( www.mcccc.org).
