Mickey Page

September 5, 1949 ~ April 1, 2024 (age 74) 74 Years Old

Tribute

Carl “Mickey” David Page, 74, of Liberty, Texas, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 1, 2024, at his home. His loving wife was by his side. He was born on September 5, 1949, in Canton, Ohio, to the late Harold Goddard and Lucille Georgiana Christian Page. Mickey was one of six boys born to the couple.

He attended Fitch High School in Groton, Connecticut. He worked for General Dynamics Corporation/Electric Boat as an inside machinist in the research and development department, building submarines for more than 45 years until his official retirement in 2013.

Mickey was a man of many passions. A former owner and operator of CD Page Contractors, he demonstrated his skills as a jack of all trades, from painting to roofing to building furniture. In 2013, he and his wife, Elisabeth, relocated to Liberty, Texas, to be closer to family. He cherished his time at the Elks Lodge #2019 and on the golf course at Magnolia Ridge Golf Course, where he not only played but also worked as a Marshall and in the pro shop.

Mickey was an outdoorsman who found joy in fishing, hunting, boating, and golfing. He had a passion for travel, particularly enjoying trips to the wine country. Mickey was a gifted storyteller and jokester who had a knack for bringing laughter to those around him. He loved sitting on the front porch, smoking fine cigars and savoring a glass of wine, for he was a wine connoisseur. He thrived in the company of others, often hosting large picnics and gatherings where he could share stories and make memories with loved ones.

Above all, Mickey deeply loved his family. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who lovingly referred to him as Opie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Albert “Buddy” Page and Thomas Page.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories to his devoted and heartbroken wife of 49 years, Elisabeth; his children, Michael Page and wife Karla-ann of San Angelo, Jody Armand Page and husband Daryl Werner of Australia, and Ann Marie Page of Connecticut; his grandchildren, Emily Page and fiancé Coby West, Ashley Page, and Michayla Page; his great-grandchildren, Kash and Cooper West; his siblings, Harold “Buzzy” Page and wife Louise “Cissy,” Gary Page and wife Joan, and Ronald Page; his first daughter-in-law and mother of his grandchildren Amy Dickson and husband Joe. In addition, he leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 PM until 6 PM on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Cornerstone Church, 1693 North Highway 146 in Liberty, Texas. A celebration of Mickey’s life will follow at 6 PM at the church, with Pastor Paul Glazner officiating.
