David Lynn Duff age 77 passed away Saturday May 20, 2017 in Liberty, Texas. David was born in Daisetta, Texas March 23, 1940 the son of the late Jim B. Duff Sr. and Elma Messer Duff. David worked for many years in Maintenance for numerous paper plants, including Champion, Simpson, and National Paper Co. He enjoyed deer hunting and going to Delta Downs. A veteran he served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his brothers: Barney Duff; C.W. “Pee Wee” Duff; and Jim B. Duff; sister Mildred Herford, and his two nephews Ronnie Duff and James Duff. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of thirty-seven years Elizabeth Grinstead Duff, his daughter Cindy Kimball, son Bobby Jones, daughter Kathie Johnson (Larye), brother Mickey Duff (Mary Sue), and a sister Linda Nolte. He also leaves eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. Funeral Services will be held 2PM Thursday May 25, 2017 at Hardin Baptist Church with visitation to be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held in Guedry Cemtery.
