James Herbert Fenton of Rockport, Texas passed away January 8, 2018 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born November 3, 1940 in Liberty, Texas the son of the late Bill H. Fenton and Ida Jane Sumrall Fenton. James attended Hull-Daisetta ISD and graduated in Class of 1959. He went on to serve in the United States Air Force in France and Vietnam. James worked for numerous years as a Foreman for Firestone and was self-employed for many years in Rockport area. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as a brother Norman Fenton.  He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children: James Ashly Fenton and wife Cherith of Port Aransas, TX; Julia Fenton Schnee and partner Erika Gilbert of Rome, Maine; Darin Fenton, of Rockport, Texas; Chad Michael Fenton of Orange, Texas; and Stephanie Brown and husband Mark of Lumberton, Texas. In addition he also leaves his grandchildren: Erin Scott Fenton of Houston; Adrienne Danielle Fenton, Houston; Julia Ashly Schnee, Rome ME; Nathan LaCroix Schnee, Rome ME; Hillary Fenton, Lumberton TX; Joseph Brown, Lumberton TX; Hannah Brown, Lumberton, TX; Jillian Brown, Lumberton TX; Aiden Brown, Lumberton TX;  Andrew Fenton and Kayla Fenton, Orange, TX. A great grandchild: Adeline Fenton, Orange, TX; brother: Ray Fenton and wife Barbra Fenton of Nacogdoches, Texas and a sister-in-law Merle Fenton of Liberty, TX.
