James Jay Robertson

James Jay Robertson passed away Wednesday October 17, 2018 at his home in Houston, Texas at age 72. Since 2012, he had been battling with Lou Gehrig's Disease (ALS). James was born June 30, 1946 in Daisetta, Texas to the late Sidney George Robertson and Odelia Mae Laird Robertson. James enjoyed reading, taking walks, tinkering with electronics, and spending time with his family. A Vietnam War veteran, James served in the US Navy from 1963-1969. James worked for over twenty five years as a crane operator with Champion Paper Mill, and was a Master Mason for the Hull Masonic Lodge #1193. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his brother Hugh Robertson and sister Elaine Jones. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of twenty-eight years Jennifer Hines Robertson, son Nathan Robertson, daughters Christy Robertson, Jami Robertson, and Codi Robertson Klein and husband Michael, his four grandchildren, Soren Robertson, Nicolas Peoples, Harrison Souza, and Adelyn Souza, sisters Blanche Buchanan and Linda Bradley, and brother Roger Robertson.  A graveside service will be held for James at 1:30PM Monday October 22, 2018 at Guedry Cemetery, Batson, Texas.
