José Guadalupe López

Jose Guadalupe Lopez, 63, of Liberty, Texas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 30, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Jose was born to the late Guadalupe Lopez and Maria Refugio Garcia on October 29, 1960, in Janicho, Guanajuato Mexico. Jose was a man of many passions and interests. He found joy in gardening, mastering the art of cooking BBQ, attending car shows, and working on antique cars. He cherished time spent with his family, creating memories and sharing laughter.

Jose was known for his hard work ethic, dedication, and unwavering faith as a member of Emanuel Baptist Church in Baytown, Texas. He was a protective and playful presence in the lives of those he loved, always ready with a joke and a warm smile. In his generosity and love, Jose touched the lives of many.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Francisco Lopez, sister Elisa Lopez, sister Carmen Lopez, and daughter Susana Lopez. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Clara D. Lopez; his children Karla Lopez, Jorge Lopez, and Angelica Lopez; and his brother Ruben Lopez.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1PM until 3PM on Thursday, April 4, 2024 in the chapel of Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis St. in Liberty. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 3 pm with Pastor Heron Hernandez officiating. A graveside and committal will immediately follow at Cooke Memorial Cemetery in Liberty.

Honoring Jose as pallbearers will be Jorge Lopez, Ruben Lopez, Nicolas Lopez, Ruben Lopez, Jr., Lole Banda, David Martinez, Ramon Rodriguez, and Emanuel Rodriguez.

Jose Guadalupe Lopez will be deeply missed but remembered with love and fondness by all whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace.
