Michael Ellis McKnight, age 55 of Devers, passed away October 11, 2017 in Houston, TX.  Michael was born December 28, 1961 to Cecil and Mable McKnight.  He graduated from Huffman High School in 1980 and was a foreman at Can-am Rubber.  Michael loved to hunt and fish and loved the outdoors.  He played semi-pro football for the Maulers.  Michael loved flying his drone and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.  It was said that Michael stepped up to the plate and helped his dad and mom whenever they needed him.  He also would help people in need.  He will be missed by all.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents; Ose and Mary McKnight, maternal grandparents; Lillie Mae and Sylvester Crocker.  He leaves behind to cherish his memory, mother; Mable McKnight of Devers, daughters; Angela McKnight Brandes and husband Rocky of Huffman, Candice McKnight of Kingwood, grandchildren; Pasley and Emma Brandes and cousin; Storm Reynolds.
