Randy Alan McCarty, 63, passed away peacefully at his residence in Houston, Texas, on Friday, April 5, 2024. He was born on August 29, 1960, in Liberty, Texas, to the late James Allen and Shirley Faye Ferguson McCarty. Randy's life was a vibrant tapestry of passion, creativity, and dedication.

From a young age, Randy showcased a keen eye for artistry, embracing photography, barefoot water skiing, traveling, decorating, and cherishing his time on the family farm during his childhood. His adventurous spirit and love for the finer details in life were evident in everything he pursued.

After graduating from Kilgore High School in 1979, Randy embarked on an academic journey at the University of Texas in Austin, where he diligently worked towards and achieved his bachelor’s degree in marketing. His time at UT was marked by his involvement with the esteemed fraternity Sigma Nu, a testament to his camaraderie and social spirit.

After graduation, Randy moved to Dallas, where he started working for a large insurance company and he carved a career path marked by a strong work ethic. He was a versatile professional who excelled in various fields throughout his life. He made significant contributions to industries such as insurance, retail, food, and decorating, showcasing his diverse skills and unwavering dedication.

Randy is survived by his loved ones, including his sister Pam Robbins and her husband Wes of Kingwood, Texas; his nephew Tyler Alan Robbins and wife Ashley of Kingwood, Texas; as well as his great-niece and nephew, Hadley and Beckett Robbins of Kingwood, Texas.

In his passing, Randy is reunited with his beloved parents; his maternal grandparents, Otis and Dorothy Ferguson; and his paternal grandparents, H.C. and Lula McCarty. His memory will forever inspire those who knew him, leaving a legacy of passion, dedication, and a zest for life that will be fondly remembered and celebrated.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to either Cooke Memorial Cemetery or Alcoholics Anonymous.
