Stanley John Broomas, age 61 of Liberty, TX passed away May 9, 2017 at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston, TX.  Stan was born May 24, 1955 in Houston, TX son of Johnny and Francis Crossno Broomas.  Stan graduated from Liberty High School in 1974 and worked for the City of Liberty for twenty plus years in the water department.  He was known in the Liberty area as Coach Stan where he coached softball for many years.  He was a mentor to hundreds of girls on the softball field and several had said that he impacted their lives.  Stan was also a fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks.  Stan will be missed by all in the Liberty area.

Stan was preceded in death by his father; Johnny Broomas and sister; Sherry Broomas Tanton.  He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son; Joshua Broomas, mother; Francis Broomas of Louisiana, brothers; Johnny Broomas and wife Judy of Willis, TX, Mark Broomas of Houston, sister; Lauri Harrison and husband Albert of Louisiana, special friends and caretakers; James, Mary Jane, C.J, and Amanda Leonard, nine nieces, three nephews and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
