Terry Lee Elder Sr. age 72 of Hardin, Texas passed away Saturday April 8, 2017 at his home. Terry was born in Liberty, Texas July 28, 1944 the son of the late John Elder and Merland Brown Mason. Terry had a great sense of humor always quick with a joke. He worked hard throughout his life providing for his family. He was the owner and operator of Elder Trucking for fifteen years, and went on to a Houston based construction company as a Vice President for another fifteen years, before returning to drive his trucks. Terry truly only had one main passion in his life and that was his family, he always found the time to make his grandchildren his number one priority. Terry was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Hull Chapter 1193 as well as the Hardin Baptist Church. Terry was preceded in death by his parents as well as a brother Jerry Galloway. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of fifty-three years Janice K. Elder of Hardin, his children; Tammie Marberry (Chuck) of Hardin, Terry Elder Jr. (Misti) of Houston, Tracy Pavliska (Heath) of Hardin, Tiffanie Buffington (Blake) of Hardin, sister Merry Mount of Liberty. In addition, he leaves his nine grandchildren: Megan Jordan; Tara Jordan; Monica Marberry; Tealyn Marberry; Terry Lee Elder III; Grahm Pavliska; Harper Pavliska; Joshua Buffington; and Parker Buffington; and his three step-granddaughters. He also leaves his beloved cousin Tommy and Reta Brown, and numerous nieces and nephews. . Visitation for Terry will be held Wednesday April 12, 2017 from 5-8PM at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas. Funeral Services to be held 10AM Thursday April 13, 2017 at Hardin Baptist Church with burial to follow in Hardin Chapel Cemetery.
