Around 1970 or 1971, Mr. Kyle hired me to work in his greenhouses planting every Saturday morning. It was one of the very first jobs I held. We would take a break and go into his home and drink a coke and spent some 'visit time'. The year we had the hail storm (I think it was around 1972 or so), and all of the windows broke out of the greenhouses, i worked that summer helping him to clean up the beds and getting the greenhouses ready to restart his business. He was always a gentleman, treated me with respect and generosity. He was a humble, hard working gentleman who I grew to admire and respect. He never talked about his military career, My prayers to the family for your loss, he was one of the finest gentlemen I ever knew.
