Arlene Mae Pope

Arlene Pope, 89, of Liberty, Texas passed away, Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Liberty Dayton Hospital in Liberty, Texas. She was born on August 4, 1928 in Muskegon, Michigan to the late Alvie and Ethel Mae Woods.

Arlene was a loving homemaker for most of her life. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and making quilts. In her spare time, she liked working on word search puzzles. She loved animals but she had a special fondness for kittens and cats. Arlene loved God and going to church. For many years, she taught Sunday school. Arlene was a member of Central Baptist church in Liberty. Arlene will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her loving husband of 64 years, Harold Pope, two sons Harold Pope, Jr. and Howard Pope, two brothers Norman Woods and Clarence Woods, and grandson Phillip Ray Cottle, Jr. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters Pamela Booth and husband Robert, Louise Cottle and husband Phillip, grandchildren Joseph Vandergraph and Emily Cottle, great-grandchildren Leo Macis, Jayden Macis, many nieces and nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
