Berna Deane Anderson, age 96 of Nacogdoches, formerly of Liberty passed away March 25, 2018 at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. Berna was born November 12, 1921 in Shawnee, OK, daughter of the late George Ernest Rapp and Ida Elizabeth Winston Rapp. She was a painter in the shipyard during WWII and enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crocheting. In her spare time, she loved fishing and going to the deer lease. Berna was also a member of a quilting club in Pasadena. Berna and her family moved to Hankamer, TX in 1945 and then moved to Dayton in 1950 before coming to Liberty in 1961 where she raised her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
Berna was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Howard Anderson Jr and daughter; Peggy Richardson and husband Billy. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons; Kennie Passmore and wife Sue of Broaddus, TX, Jimmie Passmore and wife Connie of Lufkin, TX, seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
