Tribute

Billy Glen Page, 83, of Liberty, Texas passed away on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018 in Houston, Texas surrounded by his loving family. He was born at home on May 23, 1934 near Nacogdoches, Texas.

Billy was a kind and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He graduated from Baytown Robert E. Lee High School and Lee College.  Billy then served in the Army, returned home, married Barbara, and worked.  He first worked in his own small gas company and then for Celanese, Big Three, and he ultimately retired from Air Liquide as a Corrosion Engineer. Billy enjoyed being outdoors, raising cows and miniature horses. He was a quiet man who loved his family, church and community. He was happiest in the presence of his grandchildren and when he was serving in children’s ministry programs at Uvalde Baptist Church in Houston and then at Liberty’s First Baptist Church.  Billy’s spiritual gift was serving.  When Billy was a child, he professed and placed his faith in Christ.  His life was a perfect testimony to the grace, mercy and provision that come to those who seek to live out the Lord’s will in their lives.  Billy Glen Page will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him and he will be remembered as a good and faithful servant of Christ.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents Silas Page and Opal Black Page, a brother Robert Lee Page, and a sister Hazel Page Goodnight. Billy leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 58 years Barbara K. (Tanner) Page of Liberty, daughters Marcia Page Brady (and husband Richard) and Andrea Page Shivers (and husband Blake), grandchildren Rachel Brady Hochevar (and husband Michael), Laura Brady Moore (and husband Will), Matthew Brady (and wife Emily), Evelyn Brady, Camilla Brady, Grant Brady, Julianne Shivers, Olivia Brady, sister Martha Jane Page Watson (and husband Don), brother Donny Page, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
