Bonnie Opal White, 91, of Liberty, Texas passed away peacefully July, 14, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 30, 1926 in Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee to Fenley Shockley and Lavonia Freeman Shockley.
Bonnie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed spending time sewing for friends, family and coworkers. For many years, she worked as a waitress at Frank’s café in Dayton. Bonnie loved to dance, cook and go fishing. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards and dominoes. Bonnie also enjoyed watching shows like Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune, Family Feud and Big Bang Theory. She had a passion for gardening and loved flowers especially poinsettias and roses.
Bonnie loved God and singing in her church. She was a great mom with a sassy independent loving personality. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; son Roy Eugene Weaver; sisters Velma Bennett and Matilda Smith; and several brothers. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughters Brenda Peckinpaugh (Joseph A. Fregia); Opal Ussery (Terry); son Jimmy Weaver (Joann); twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Friends are invited visit with the family from 5pm – 8pm on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 in the chapel of Allison Funeral Services, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas 77575. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 10am at Allison Funeral Services. A graveside service and committal will immediately follow in Cooke Cemetery.
