Bonnie Jean Noack Steed, 82, passed away Tuesday, 31 October 2017 in Liberty, Texas. Bonnie was born in Beaumont, Texas, 3 August 1935, the daughter of Richard Calhoun and Vernell Daniel Noack. She grew up on Batson Prairie among a large extended family of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. After graduating from Batson High School, she moved to Liberty in 1953 and worked at Tarver Abstract Company and the County Court House. While working at the Liberty County Court House she met a young engineer for the Texas Highway Department. She and Warren B Steed married on 16 November 1956 at Batson Prairie Baptist Church.

Bonnie was a loving and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Until the end she was always ready to go somewhere or do something. She loved to sew, making clothes for herself, children, and grandchildren. She and Warren were able to enjoy many annual trips to the Smoky Mountains, weekends with friends in Canton, as well as extended vacations with their grandchildren in the summer and many other adventures. Just as her grandparents had a strong influence on her life, she and Warren did much to mold their grandchildren’s lives.

Bonnie loved her family history and was an active member of both the Liberty and Hardin County Genealogical Societies. She and Warren traveled to research and visit distant relatives all over the Southern United States. In addition, Bonnie was a member of First Baptist Church of Liberty, Order of the Eastern Star, and the Liberty Coterie Club.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, parents, an infant brother Harold Dean Noack, and brother Robert Clayton Noack. She is survived by her daughter Tanya Wiggins and husband Michael of Dallas; son Brett Steed and wife Raquel of Liberty; and son Kerry Steed and wife Wendy of Madison, Mississippi; her beloved grandchildren Jordan Wiggins Lopez and husband Donnie, Joel Wiggins and wife Melinda, Bonnie Steed Garcia and husband Rogelio, Jenni Steed and fiancé Troupe Gammage, and Benjamin Steed; and great grandchildren Warren “Wren” and Finley Lopez; Michael, Melanie, and Gabriel Wiggins; and Sebastian Garcia.
