Brenda Lea Davis Brown, age 68 of Liberty, passed away on August 25,2017 at Magnolia Place Health Care in Liberty.  Brenda was born June 22, 1949 in Liberty, TX, daughter of the late Reuben and Edith Whiddon Davis.  She graduated from Liberty High School in 1967 and then went on to receive her Master’s Degree in education from Stephen F. Austin University.  Brenda was a teacher in education and worked for forty plus years.  She worked for Liberty ISD and then worked for Dayton ISD for the last four years before retiring.  Brenda was a member of the New Work Family Worship Center Church in Liberty where she was dedicated to God and her church.  She loved her work and loved working with the children in education.  But most of all, she loved her family and grandchildren.  The education world has lost a true educator.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Charles Owen Brown, brother; George M. Davis and a sister; Mary E. McMullan.  She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter; Kathy Sterling of Liberty, son; Kent Brown of Webster, TX, brothers; Frank Davis and wife Pat of Liberty, R.E. “Bubba” Davis of Kingwood, TX, and grandchildren; Grayson Sterling, Ryleigh Sterling and Judith Brown.
