Cynthia "Cyndy" Vanya Sears, age 65, passed away peacefully at her residence in Liberty, Texas, on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. She was born to the late Terrell and Valda Vanya on March 1, 1959, in Dayton, Texas.

Cyndy was known for her outgoing personality and captivating smile. Her passion for cooking and baking brought joy to many, and she delighted in sharing her culinary creations with loved ones. Traveling to different places brought her immense pleasure, and she cherished the experiences gained from exploring new destinations.

Her love for flowers and plants was evident in her surroundings, and even in her later years when confined to her home, she found solace in sitting by the window, admiring her garden's beauty and watching the birds, particularly a red bird that frequented her azaleas outside. Fishing was another activity she adored, and the excitement of reeling in a catch never failed to bring a sparkle to her eyes as she exclaimed, "I caught a fish, I caught a fish."

Cyndy was preceded in death by her parents Terrell and Valda Vanya; and her daughter Emily Sears. She is survived by her loving husband, Tracy Sears; daughters, Mendy Johnson and Ashlyn Hammack; grandchildren, Erynne Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Emily Scott, Josh Scott, Samantha Scott, Alexis Hammack, Thomas Hammack, Justyce Hammack, August Hammack, and Victoria Hammack; great-grandchildren, Hazel Dryden, Rhett Dryden, Colt Johnson, and Cayden Cubbison.

Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Tyler Johnson, Josh Scott, Blaine Melonson, Mitchell Vanya, Cole Vanya, and Grayson Vanya. Honorary pallbearer will be Hudson Vanya. Officiating the service will be Pastor Aaron Leger.

Friends are invited to visit with the family beginning at 10 AM to 12 PM in the chapel at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 Travis Street Liberty, Texas.
