David Thompson Edge

David Thompson Edge, 69, of Liberty, Texas passed away, Friday, March 16, 2018 in Sugarland, Texas. He was born on November 23, 1948 in Shreveport, Louisiana the son of the late Arnie Lee Edge and Peggy Elaine Thompson Edge.

David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. David was a Medic in the US Army during Vietnam. He worked in the oil and gas industry for over 30 years. He retired as a Sales Engineer for BJ Services.

David loved working in the yard and being outside. He coached little league sports and enjoyed being involved in his children’s activities. David loved music and strumming his guitar. He was always humming and singing. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

David was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Virginia Ann Rohr and Pam Elaine May. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 32 years Sharon Ann Edge; daughters Kathy Strahan and husband Jason Norwood of Houston; Kara Jensen and fiancé Matthew Beebe of Austin; Crystal Lynch of Liberty; sons Ken Strahan of Austin; Keith Strahan and wife Jae of Houston; sister Jill Ebarb of Missouri City, brother Wayne Edge and wife Glenda of Longview; grandchildren Livvy Norwood, Casper Norwood, Mary Jensen and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 2pm at First Baptist Church in Liberty, Texas. Friends are invited to visit with the family one hour before the service.
