Elma Linda Nolte, age 71 of Hardin, passed away on August 23, 2017 at her residence in Hardin.  Linda was born June 22, 1946 in Liberty, TX daughter of the late James Duff Sr and Elma Messer Duff.  Linda graduated from Hull-Daisetta High School in 1964 and then attended college at San Jacinto College and Sam Houston State University.  Linda married the love of life, Ronnie Nolte, on September 2, 1966 and was married for forty-six and a half years until Ronnie’s passing in 2012.  They lived in Houston for thirty-two years before moving to Hardin in 1997.  She was an administrative assistant for Sheldon ISD and worked for Hardin Baptist Church as well as Allison Funeral Service.  Linda was a member of Hardin Baptist Church where she enjoyed working and being involved with the church.  Linda also enjoyed being a caregiver for her brothers and sisters.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Richard “Ronnie” Nolte, brothers; N.B. “Barney” Duff, W.C. “PeeWee” Duff, Jim Duff Jr, David Duff, sister; Mildred Herford, sisters-in-law; Juanita Duff, Billie Diane Duff, brother-in-law; Lamar Herford, Father & Mother-in-law; Dick and Lil Nolte.  She leaves behind to cherish her memory, son; Keith Nolte, special son; Ken Wiltz, sisters-in-law; Candy Sims and husband Mike, Mary Alice Britner, Elizabeth Duff, brother; M.H. “Mickey” Duff and wife Mary Sue, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many precious friends.
