Tribute

Fred Lee Marberry, age 76, of Liberty, Texas passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake in Webster, Texas. He was born on November 15, 1942 in Ewing, Texas to parents Fred Daniel Marberry and Gertrude Frances Shoebrook Marberry.

Fred married the love of his life, Amelia Abegzel Marberry on January 17, 1964 in Gibraltar, Spain. Together with their families, they lived in Liberty for forty years. Three years ago, Fred and Amelia lost their beloved daughter Betty Ducote. A year ago, Fred lost his dear wife Amelia and in May of this year he lost his son, Robert Marberry. We are comforted by thoughts of their reunion in Heaven.

Fred was a hard-working man. He served his country faithfully for many years while in the United States Air Force. After he retired from the military, he became a truck driver for over twenty years. Fred enjoyed fishing. He had a deep knowledge of guns and weaponry. He loved spending time with his family. In their younger years, he and Amelia were playful, danced and quilted together. Fred lived life on his own terms. He had a huge heart and an even bigger smile. Fred will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife of fifty-four years Amelia Abegzel Marberry; daughter Betty Ann Ducote; and son Robert Marberry.
