Herman Christopher Miller III- age 70 passed away peacefully at his home Thursday January 4, 2018. Chris was born May 7, 1947 in Weslaco, Texas the son of the late Herman Christopher Miller Jr. and Dorothy Jean Diehl Miller. Chris enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hiking in Canada. He worked for numerous years for Liberty Electric Company, eventually becoming the owner and operator of Leco Services. Chris was a graduate of East Texas Baptist College and last attended First Baptist Church of Dayton. Chris also helped establish alongside Jimmy Clemmons, Dogwood Church later it became which is presently North Main Baptist Church. He started as an Associate Pastor at Shiloh Baptist Church which grew into the Pastor position. He also enjoyed teaching Sunday school at Heights Baptist Church, preaching, and bible study. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as a sister Gayle Miller. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of twenty-seven years Cathy Neely Miller, daughter Tamara Miller Breeland and her husband Robert, sons Christopher Carl Miller and wife Charli and Rusty Wayne Miller, his sitter and Little Buddy Amy Jimenez, as well as six grandchildren, a great granddaughter, and numerous other extended family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be held for Chris 10AM Friday January 12, 2018 at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas.
