Jared Matthew Smith

Jared Matthew Smith age 18 of Hardin, went on to Neverland October 26, 2018 at Memorial Hermann Hospital with his loving family by his side. A little angel who blessed all by his mere presence with his strength. Jared was the saving grace to his parents and best friend to his brothers. He was born May 8, 2000 in Baytown, Texas the son of Johnny Wayne Smith and Wendy Michelle Bearden Smith. Jared was unable to play with toys like other children, his birthdays and holidays were gifts of blankets and teddy bears. Ten years ago Jared’s family started to donate blankies and bears to the local children hospitals. He was Mom and Dad’s little lost boy. Jared has gone on to his next big adventure. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers Peggy “Poohie” L. Bearden and Paulette Lee, and uncle Mikey Bearden and his auntie Candy Bearden. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents, Wendy M. Bearden Smith and Johnny Smith, brothers Justin Smith, Jonathan Smith, and Jaden Smith, grandfather Michael Bearden, uncles Matt Bearden and Jason Smith, aunt Rhonda Smith, and his grandfather J.W. Smith, and his cousins Max, Annaleise, Brian, Holden, Raven, Amber, and Taryn. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation for Jared will be held Monday October 29, 2018 from 5-8PM at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas. Funeral services to be held 2PM Tuesday at the funeral home with burial to follow in Moss Hill Cemetery. Condolences and memories can be shared online at www.allisonfuneralservice.com. In lieu of flowers donations of Blankets and Teddy Bears can be delivered to the funeral home in honor of Jared’s memory.
