Jerry Richard Roberts, 77, of Liberty, Texas passed away, Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in Houston. He was born on March 15, 1940 in Liberty, Texas to J.B. and Hazel Lee Roberts.

Jerry was a simple man who enjoyed simple things. He drove a truck for over fifty-years for his own company, Roberts Trucking. He loved to talk and he never met a stranger. Jerry was a history buff and enjoyed watching the History and Smithsonian channels. He was the proud owner of several Harley-Davidsons. He also enjoyed flying and was a pilot of a single engine plane.

Jerry was a God loving person who loved reading the Bible. His favorite buddie was his dog named Patti who he loved dearly. Jerry will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and his son; Richard Roberts. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of fifty-seven years Mary Ann Toland Roberts; his daughters Cindy Hodgson and her husband Bob; Lisa Twardowski and her husband John; his son Steve Lovell; his brothers Wayne Roberts and his wife Sandy; Buddy Roberts and his wife Lois; his brother Doug Budro and his wife Lynn; his grandchildren; Annie Roberts, Shelley Armstrong, Katie Scott and Richard Twardowski; his 3 great-grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6:00pm – 8:00pm on Thursday August 3, 2017 in the chapel of Allison Funeral Service, 1101 North Travis Liberty, Texas 77575.
