Jolois (Hart) Hornback

Jolois Hornback, 91, of Hull, Texas passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 8, 1927 to Lucian Lee Hart and Sally Lee Barfield Hart.

Jolois was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Jolois was a giving person who lived her life serving the Lord. She had a passion for mission work. She took Spanish classes at the Hispanic Seminary so she could better communicate with the families she served. She enjoyed missionary work immensely. Jolois was an avid bird watcher. She was a member of the Lower Trinity Valley Bird Club and traveled the world to watch birds. Jolois also enjoyed knitting. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hull.

Jolois was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of forty years David Henry Hornback; sister June Sikes; and brothers Dale Lee Hart and Locke Plummer Hart. She leaves behind to cherish her memory daughter Andrea Jones and husband Dennis; sons Hart Hornback and wife Nana, Kirk Hornback and wife Dorothy; grandchildren David Hornback, Lee Hornback, Daniel Jones, Austin Hornback, Chris Hornback, Anjani Hornback; six great grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Honoring the family be serving as honorary pallbearers are Wendell Nance, Thomas Watson, Curtis Johnson, Jim Gibson, Fred Skinner, Billy Lloyd and special honorary pallbearer Alfred Shivers.

A graveside service will be held 10am on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Guedry Cemetery in Batson.
