Laura Laverne Lewis Adams, age 85 of Lago Vista, TX formerly of Liberty, passed away August 1, 2017 in Cedar Park, TX.  Laura was born December 30, 1931 in Goose Creek, TX daughter of the late John Gary Lewis and Marguerite Iola Hooks.  She graduated from Liberty High School in 1949 and earned her associate’s degree and was a housewife and realtor most of her life.  Laura married the love of her life, Billy Adams, and was married for fifty years until Billy’s passing in 2002.  She was the light of his life and was a very social woman.  It was said that you could always find Laura by her laugh.  Laura was a member of the First United Methodist Church and taught Sunday School Classes.  She was a Girl Scout Leader as well as a band chaperone.  Laura loved her Poodles and raised Poodles for fifty years.  She will be missed by all.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Billy Adams, sister; Ida Yvonne Lewis Ford and brother; Jay Gary Lewis.  She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter; Laura Bennatt and husband Jim of Lago Vista, TX, sister-in-law; Marie Adams, five nephews and one niece.
