Lillie Ruth Ferguson, age 80 of Liberty, passed away August 23, 2017 in Liberty.  Lillie was born February 21, 1937, daughter of the late Frankie Denman Barnhart and Vena Mamie Tompkins Barnhart.  Lillie was a waitress most of life where she worked for several restaurants around Liberty County.  Her last employment was at the Catfish Inn where she worked for over ten years.  She enjoyed quilting, sewing and gardening.  She especially enjoyed having her vegetable garden.  Lillie also loved to mow.  It was told that her and her late husband each had their own mower.  She will be missed by all.

Lillie was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Ray Hershell Ferguson, son; Gerald Randy Kent, great-grandson; Connor Touchet, son-in-law; William Touchet, brothers; John Barnhart, Gerald Barnhart.  She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughters; Kelli Baucum and husband Daniel of Abilene, TX, Elaine Touchet of Richwood, TX, son; Joe Kent of Liberty, TX, twelve grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren.
