Linda Sue Penley- age 70, went to be with her Lord on May 4, 2017 in Liberty, Texas. Linda was born on April 11, 1947 in Nacogdoches, Texas the daughter of the late Winfred Rufus Blackburn and Ruthie Mae Opal Gentry Blackburn. Linda was a Licensed Vocational Nurse and worked for many years at Liberty Healthcare Center as well as worked for Dr. Brown. Linda was a consummate caregiver; she enjoyed taking care of people and always wanted everyone around her to be okay. She could talk on the phone for hours about anything and everything and loved to stay up to date on current events within the family. Her favorite thing was retail therapy. She loved to go to church and she loved to go out to eat with friends and family.

Linda is preceded in death by her five bothers’ Glennis, Billy, Bobby, Jerry and Danny Blackburn and a sister, Betty Blackburn. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Lynn Penley, and her two grandchildren; Lyri Whitney, and Robert Whitney. Linda is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation for Linda will be held Friday May 12, 2017 from 12:30PM-2PM at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas. Funeral Services to be held at the funeral home 2PM Friday May 12, 2017 with burial to follow in Fairlawn Memorial Cemetery.
