Margarette L. Shivers, 95, of Hull, Texas passed away, Friday, September 15, 2017 at Fairy’s Landing in Hull surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 30, 1922 in Spurger, Texas to M. Paris Bingham and Bertie L. Collier Bingham.

Margarette was an avid bird watcher. She was a charter member of the Lower Trinity Valley Bird Club. She traveled the world visiting China, Africa, South and Central America to name a few. She had many great adventures. She loved nature and enjoyed being outside.  She was outgoing, caring, kind and very generous. She will be sadly missed by all who know and loved her.

Margarette was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband W.G. “Dub” Shivers; brothers Floyd Bingham, Durham Bingham, Ramsey Bingham, and John Lane Bingham; sisters Ellen Griffin, Kathren Fitzgerald and Lala Susan Bingham. She leaves behind to cherish her memory son Bert Shivers and wife Gail of Hull; daughter Kitty Key and husband Ronnie of Hull; grandchildren Scott Key and wife Cyndy of Cypress, Gil Shivers and wife Shana of Montgomery, Kathy Key of Hull, Penny Woods and husband Matthew of Highland Village; fifteen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and a host of other loving friends and relatives.

Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers are Scott Slack, Logan Slack, Allen Key, Silas Shivers, Max Woods, Shaun Newmann, and W.G. “Quint” Shivers, V. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5pm to 8pm on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Allison Funeral Services, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas 77575. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 2pm at First United Methodist Church of Daisetta. A graveside service will immediately follow at Guedry Cemetery in Batson, Texas. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Hull Hurricane Harvey Building Recovery Fund, PO Box J, Hull, Texas 77564
