Martin Cecil DeBerry, age 75 of Liberty passed away November 15, 2017 at his residence in Liberty with his loving family by his side.  Martin was born February 27, 1942 in Liberty, son of the late Lloyd Cecil DeBerry and Jessie Lucille Vanderpool DeBerry.  Martin graduated from Danbury High School and worked as a heavy equipment operator for twelve years for Liberty County Precinct 1.  He resided in the Liberty area for twenty plus years.  He married Pamela Smart October 30, 1990 and they were married for twenty-seven wonderful years.  In their spare time, they enjoyed RV’ing and camping.  He was a great mechanic and loved tinkering around on projects.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother.  He will be missed by all.

Martin was preceded in death by his parents, children; Carrie Lynn Vantassel, Donald DeBerry and Wendy Threlkeld Watts.  He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife; Pamela Smart DeBerry of Liberty, son; Reggie Threlkeld and wife Laura of LaPorte, TX, sister; Ellen Kibodeaux and husband Gary of Hardin, brothers; Lloyd Charles DeBerry and wife Gerlinda of Danbury, Jack DeBerry and wife Brenda of Raywood, grandchildren; Tara Palmer, Chelsea Vantassel Baird and husband Cameron, Jared Threlkeld and wife Tanya, Lauren Canales and husband Andy, Amanda Melton and husband Michael, Cody Kokes and wife Melissa, Kelsey Kokes, Rylie Yates, Laikyn Barta, great-grandchildren; Maci, Kylie, Easton, C.J., Nicholas, Parker, Ember, Ariel, Bryce and faithful dog Bud.
