Mixson Harvey "Mickey" Duff

Mixson Harvey “Mickey” Duff, age 85 of Hull, passed away at his residence May 1, 2018.  Mickey was born July 28, 1932 in Honey Island, TX son of the late James Duff Sr and Elma Messer Duff.  Mickey graduated from Hull-Daisetta High School in 1950 and then attended Sam Houston State University for a short period of time.  Mickey married the love of his life, Mary Sue Morgan on November 24, 1951 and was married for sixty-six years.  He worked as a supervisor for J.M. Huber and enjoyed hunting, gardening and camping.  His favorite hobby was fishing.  Mickey served on the Hull-Daisetta School Board for fifteen years where he also served as school board President.  If asked, people would say that Mickey had a funny sense of humor.  He will be missed by all.

Mickey was preceded in death by his parents, son; Ronnie Eugene Duff, brothers; N.B. “Barney” Duff, W.C. “PeeWee” Duff, Jim Duff Jr, David Duff, sisters; Mildred Herford and Elma “Linda” Nolte.  He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of sixty-six years; Mary Sue Duff of Hull, daughters; Jannise McKee and husband Cliff of Baytown, TX, Amy Morris of Crosby, TX, son; Michael Duff and wife Janet of Liberty, grandchildren; Kenny Duff, Kevin Duff, Stephen McKee, Danny McKee, Angela Turner, Lance Duff, Shane Duff and seven great-grandchildren.
