Nancy Yvonne (Rector) Bell

Nancy Yvonne Bell- age 79 of Liberty passed away Thursday May 10, 2018 in Houston, Texas.  Nancy was born in Devers, Texas September 1, 1938 the daughter of the late Slaydon L. Rector and Nannie Beatrice Woodward Rector. Nancy enjoyed traveling, cooking, antique shopping, and spending time with her family. Nancy was a graduate of Liberty High School Class of 1956 and went on to Baptist Hospital School of Nursing.  She worked for fifty-four years as a Registered Nurse working for what are now Houston Methodist as well as Liberty-Dayton Hospital. She started her career as a house supervisor, to ER Charge Nurse, and finally as the VP of Recruitment and Staffing. In addition to her work as a nurse she also taught nursing at San Jacinto College and Houston Community College. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her son Kevin Paul Lowry Sr. and her brothers Woodrow Rector and Edward Rector. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of forty-three years Edwene Bell of Liberty, son Roger Bell and his wife Sherry of Baytown, daughter Leslie Foreman and husband Robert of Houston, son Daryl Bell and wife Robyn of Liberty, daughter Crystal Votaw and husband Daniel of Dayton, sister Barbara Wiggins of Liberty, and a brother James Rector and his wife Joyce. In addition she leaves her ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.  Visitation for Nancy will be held Monday May 14, 2018 from 5-8PM at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas.  A funeral mass will be celebrated 10AM Tuesday May 15, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Church  with burial to immediately follow in Guedry Cemetery, Batson.  Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Wiggins, Austin Wiggins, Bill Gautreaux, Archie Gillard, Willard “Bubba” Gillard, and Wendell Mangum.
