Norman Clarence Arttus – age 86 passed away November 24, 2017 at his home in Hull, Texas. Norman was born December 20, 1930 in Sparta, Wisconsin the son of the late Clarence Arttus and Bessie Papenfuss Arttus. Norman served in the US Army from 1947-1950. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and as a young man he enjoyed breaking horses with his father.  He also enjoyed gardening and growing his vegetables. Throughout the years Norman worked in construction up until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his two brothers Robert Arttus and Arlen Arttus. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children; Thomas Arttus and his wife Debra, Kelly Minor and husband Richard, Kimberly Gordon, Jody Arttus, and Margaret Chaske. In addition he also leaves a brother Gary Arttus and his caretaker and friend Katherine Moye and her husband George, and her extended family. A graveside service will be held at 1:45PM January 3, 2018 at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038 with full military honors. Allison Funeral Service.1101 N.
