Maurine Tanner Hale, age 96, a longtime resident of the Liberty area went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Magnolia Place Healthcare in Liberty.  Maurine was born January 26, 1921 in Burkburnett, TX, daughter of the late Bruce Tanner and Verna Ratcliff Tanner.  Maurine loved gardening, animals, chocolate and was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed her various crafts.  She had a smile that could light up a room.

Maurine was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Robert Hale and sister Ruth Wajer.  She leaves behind to cherish her memory, son; Gregory Chitwood and significant other Gerry Avallone, grandson; Michael Chitwood, great-grandchildren; Lane, Aaron and Charlie Chitwood, sister; Gladys Erskins and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins and her beloved cats.

The family would like to thank Magnolia Place Healthcare for the excellent care for Maurine and hospice Kindred at home and Karla King, her caregiver for such loving, tender care given to her.
