Melba L. Clemonds age 92 formally of Liberty, passed away Monday March 27 in Montegut, LA. Melba was born in Hemsted, TX, December 31, 1924 the daughter of the late James Stuckey and Hetti Mae Tucker Stuckey. Melba enjoyed fishing, being with her family, and loved to take her children camping. She worked for many years as a Nurse’s Aide. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her son Gordon Lamar Crabtree, daughter Evelyn Joyce Brown, brothers James Stuckey and Jan Ray Stuckey, her sisters Mary Ruth Rhoades, Marguerite DeSha, and Gloria Mae Ewing. She also was preceded in death by her first husband Lee Crabtree and her second husband Ralph Clemonds. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters Leona Nelton and husband Alley, and Marguerite Crabtree and wife Cindy Sickles. In addition, she leaves twelve grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation for Melba will be held Thursday March 30, 2017 from 5-8PM at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas. Funeral Services to be held 10AM Friday March 31, 2017 at the funeral home with burial to follow in Fairlawn Memorial Cemetery.
