Ricky Joe Dowless – age 58 left this earth October 4, 2017 in Houston after a valiant battle with cancer.  He was born January 11, 1959 in Dublin, North Carolina the son of the late Raymond David Dowless and Leola Candice Kriner Dowless. Ricky was an outgoing, loving, caring man who never met a stranger.  He had an ability to make everyone around him feel comfortable. He enjoyed watching sports, playing golf, and fishing. He worked for BJ Ford as a Finance Manager for the past sixteen years. Prior to BJ Ford, he worked in construction and Oil and Gas as a Permit Agent.  Ricky also served in the US Army, joining after he completed High School. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond Dowless Jr., Bobby Dowless, Herman Dowless, Leon Dowless, and Ray Dowless; as well as his sisters Dorothy Cassidy and Frances Laramie. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of twenty-two years Yvonne Dowless, son Joshua Connealy and wife Mandy, daughter Brooke Soto and husband Jason, Sisters Delores Dowless and Petie Strole, Brother Ronald Dowless and wife Susan. IN addition he leaves his five grandchildren Romannie Smith, Joshua Connealy Jr., Alexis Connealy, Grace Soto, and Jason Soto Jr. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be held Sunday 3PM October 8, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Liberty 602 Main St. Liberty, Texas. Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N.
